CBSE had communicated the CBSE Term 1 results for Class 10 to the respective schools through email on March 11. But soon after, news arose of discrepancies in the Class 10 Odia paper. A dispute redressal mechanism was formed by CBSE on the same day.
On March 14, when Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan learned of this serious dispute, he intervened to push for a quick resolution within 24 hours so that the students’ grievances could be addressed immediately and appropriately.
CBSE FORMS COMMITTEE
Accordingly, with a view to ascertaining the factual position, an expert committee was constituted by CBSE for examining the discrepancies mentioned in the representation.
The committee submitted its report at 6:00 pm on March 14 and based on the report of the expert committee, CBSE evaluated the OMR answer sheets of the Class 10 Odia paper with the correct answer key approved by the expert committee.
The revised performance of students has been since sent to the concerned schools for onward information of the students.
A total of 28,310 students have benefitted as a result of this revision.
