Free mid-day meal project in govt arts and science colleges in Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: The mid-working day food plan at colleges has been effective in addressing malnutrition and advertising frequent attendance of pupils. Kerala Govt has decided to enlarge the ambit of the successful nationwide plan to public schools.

Collection standards
The deserving school learners would be picked out for the free mid-working day meal scheme centered on the following four parameters:

The government will grant up to Rs 5 lakh to each and every college or university to operate this challenge. Moreover, the students would be encouraged to do organic and natural farming on the campuses.

The govt, meanwhile, has determined to give a remuneration of Rs 100 per hour to the college students who have interaction in farming things to do on the campus. For this, an assist of Rs 10,000 has been authorized for just about every govt faculty.
